So you are thinking about getting the P90X workout? If so you will need a few pieces of equipment which we provide here.
Since the P90X uses a lot of pull ups or chin ups, you will need some type of
pull up bar. Whether you buy the one we provide here or install your own, we strongly suggest purchasing a sturdy and easy to use bar. Besides you will be using it A LOT!
Hate doing pull ups? There are techniques shown in the workout videos on how you can use
resistance bands to substitute the chin up motion. Some people find it extremely difficult to do a chin up on their own and either give up or don't try hard enough. The
Chin Up Max was created for those who struggle getting any chin ups (or pull ups) done. This one piece of equipment is highly suggested but is not needed.
Dumbbells or resistance bands are also needed for the P90X workout. Each has its pros and cons. For instance:
Resistance bands are light and easy to travel with, making it easy to take your workout with you, wherever you travel, whether it be for business or vacation.
Dumbbells make it easier to perform the 'workout' move shown on the videos. Sometime resistance bands can be hard to manipulate the correct move needed to target a specific muscle. Using dumbbells will also make you feel like you are working your muscles more than with resistance bands.
